Looking for beta readers for a middle grade fantasy

I’m looking for beta readers for my middle grade fantasy novel. 40,000 words of second draft and I need a second, third and fourth pair of eyes. I’ve already edited it once but I’d love some feedback on the story and the characters.

What is a beta reader?
Think of yourself as a pre-reader, someone who is going to read with a critical eye prior to the release of the book. You’re going to tell me if I’m going in the right direction. Do you care for the characters? Do you want to read more? Are you (horrors) bored?

What is middle grade fantasy?
Fantasy fiction targeted at age 8 – 12. That doesn’t mean adults don’t read them. We all have our guilty pleasures and middle grade is one of mine. Think Harry Potter, Septimus Heap, Artemis Fowl, and A series of Unfortunate Events. Middle grade at its best is fun to read for all ages.

What is your book about?
When their parents vanish, two children must brave the perils of a magical world they did not dream existed in order to rescue them – and discover the extraordinary truth about themselves.

Interested? Let me know – use the contact form or comment below – and I’ll add you to my chapter-reading list!

Note: This is one of my multiple projects – if adult science fiction is more your thing, let me know.
